Born, raised and currently residing in Lexington County, Dr. Rawl graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, serving as class president during his senior year, and completed general surgery and urology residencies at Vanderbilt Affiliated Hospitals in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Rawl is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, and the South Carolina Urological Association, among other organizations. He is actively involved in advancing the field of urology through publishing professional articles in medical journals, as well as serving as clinical assistant professor of urology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. Dr. Rawl also serves as vice president of the Columbia Medical Society, chair of the Columbia Medical Society’s Committee on Alternate Health Care Delivery, a member of the South Carolina Medical Association Task Force on Alternate Health Care Delivery and a board member for Physicians Care Charity.
Prior to joining the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care, Dr. Rawl worked in private practice, providing comprehensive urologic care to patients in the Midlands at Columbia Urological Associates. He has more than 40 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating urologic conditions and disorders.
Dr. Rawl proudly joins the board-certified physicians at Lexington Urology to provide comprehensive urologic care and advanced treatments for urologic conditions, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
