A graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, Dr. Willard earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He went on to complete general surgery and urology residencies at University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri, serving as chief urology resident.
Dr. Willard is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, and the South Carolina Urological Association, among other organizations. He is a former president of and is currently serving his second term as treasurer of the South Carolina Urological Association. In addition to this leadership, Dr. Willard is the current chief of Urology at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina, and director of the hospital’s Robotic Surgery program.
Dr. Willard previously worked in private practice, providing comprehensive urologic care to patients in the Midlands at Carolina Urology Partners in West Columbia, South Carolina. He also served as co-director and lead investigator of the clinical research division at the practice. He has nearly 15 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating urologic conditions and disorders, and specializes in urologic oncology, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, management of advanced prostate cancer and endourology/stone disease.
Dr. Willard proudly joins the board-certified physicians at Lexington Urology to provide comprehensive urologic care and advanced treatments for urologic conditions, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery. As the newest physician practice in the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care, Lexington Urology combines the most advanced medicine and state-of-the-art technology with compassionate care to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
